Cascadia Magazine is proud to present a unique literary reading at Vermillion Art Gallery & Bar on Capitol Hill in Seattle at 6:30 pm, Tues. December 10. Four talented Seattle-based writers will be paired with four exceptional Seattle visual artists in an evening that crosses boundaries of artistic genres.

You’ll hear readings of new work by Jack Straw curator Anastacia-Renée; prose writer Kristen Millares Young; fiction writer Ruth Joffre; and poet Shankar Narayan—each reading original pieces published online at Cascadia Magazine (www.cascadiamagazine.org). Each reading will be accompanied by a collection of images from four Seattle-based visual artists: painter and installation artist Carol Rashawnna Williams; artist, illustrator, and filmmaker Sarah Salcedo; artist, poet, and illustrator Clare Johnson; and Monyee Chau, an artist who works in a variety of mediums.

The event is free, and you’ll have a chance to ask questions of and engage with the writers and artists. Look for all of the art and writing by the participating creators to be published online at Cascadia Magazine throughout the month of December.

Funding for this project was made possible by a generous grant from the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture.
